PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a double actuator type liquid discharge head by simpler machining and in a shorter manufacturing time.SOLUTION: A plurality of first grooves 14 are formed and second grooves 19 are formed in a first piezoelectric substrate 12. A plurality of third grooves 34 are formed in a second piezoelectric substrate 32. First electrodes 20 are formed on side faces and a bottom face of each of the first grooves 14. Second electrodes 21 are formed on side faces of the second grooves 19. A third electrode 25 is formed on a face 23 of the first piezoelectric substrate 12. A fourth electrode 39 is formed on a bottom face of each of the third grooves 34. A fifth electrode 41 is formed on a face 40 of the second piezoelectric substrate 32. Polarization of side walls and polarization of a bottom wall are performed in each of the first grooves 14, and polarization of a bottom wall of each of the third grooves 34 is performed. The second electrodes 21 and the third electrodes 25 are separated into at least two electrodes while the fourth electrode 39 is separated into at least two electrodes. The second piezoelectric substrate 32 is joined to the first piezoelectric substrate 12. |
