The method invovles eliminating air conditioning of a seat (2) if a safety belt of the seat is loosened, a vehicle door assigned to a seat is opened, the seat assigned with the vehicle door is closed or safety belt of the seat is not closed again within a specific period. Seat occupancy is recognized by a seat occupancy sensor, a camera or a thermal sensor of an air conditioning apparatus. The air conditioning is eliminated when eliminating the ignition. The elimination of the seat air conditioning is prevented or cancelled by a manual input. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for controlling air conditioning of seat (2) a computer program product comprising a set of instructions for controlling of a seat air conditioning in a vehicle (3) a machine-readable medium comprising a set of instructions for controlling of a seat air conditioning in a vehicle.
