The method involves forming an adhesion-promoting layer (3) between a molded plastic portion (6) and a shaped metal portion (1), from a plastic substrate that is provided with an activating agent. The molded plastic portion and the adhesion-promoting layer are compressed in a contact area (7) that surrounds an area during contact process in the region of the melting temperatures of the plastic molded portion and the adhesion-promoting layer so that the plastic molded portion merges with the adhesion-promoting layer.
