PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning type confocal laser microscope capable of acquiring a plurality of sliced images in by single scanning on a sample.SOLUTION: A scanning type confocal laser microscope 1 includes: a single laser light source 2a; a multifocus formation unit 4 that condenses a laser beam into a plurality of condensing positions different from one another in an optical axis direction of a sample; and a multifocus detection unit 19 that detects fluorescent light from the plurality of condensing positions. The multifocus formation unit 4 includes a first control unit 27 that changes at least one condensing position in the optical axis direction. The multifocus detection unit 19 includes: a plurality of confocal diaphragms 21, 24 each of which separates fluorescent light emitted from the corresponding condensing position from fluorescent light emitted from other positions; a plurality of PMTs 23, 26 each of which detects the fluorescent light from the corresponding condensing position through the corresponding confocal diaphragm; and a second control unit 28 that maintains a conjugated relation between the condensing position changed by the first control unit 27 and the confocal diaphragm 24 corresponding to the condensing position. |
