PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance detection device that can detect a short circuit without changing ordinary detection processing of capacitance and without increasing processing time.SOLUTION: A capacitance detection device 1 comprises: a plurality of capacitance detection electrodes ELto EL; a capacitance measurement unit 21 which selects one electrode from the electrodes ELto ELas a detection electrode EL, sets electrodes other than the detection electrode ELto be in a first potential state or in a second potential state different from the first potential state, and measures a voltage of the detection electrode ELin the first potential state and a voltage of the detection electrode ELin the second potential state; and a determination unit 22 which compares measurement values based on respective voltages of the detection electrode ELin the first and second potential states, thereby determining a short circuit state between the electrodes. |
