PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device and a communication system that allow for elimination of a re-connection chore upon switching a system of a system switchable communication device, and enable a flexible system design.SOLUTION: The communication device comprises: a system switching process part 5 that is connected between a system switchable communication device 2 including an operating system and stand-by system media control device 3 and a terminal device 4 communicating with the operating system media control device 3 of the system switchable communication device 2 and controlling the system switchable communication device 2 and when switching of the operating system media control device 3 is performed by the system switchable communication device 2, re-writes a transmission source address of a frame received from an operating system media control device 3 after switching to an address of an operating system media control device 3 before switching and re-writes an addressee address of a frame to be transmitted to the operating system media control device 3 before switching to an address of the operating system media control device 3 after switching. |
