A hydraulic cylinder device with an improved cushion forming structure on the head cover side includes: a cylinder which includes a hollow part; a rod which is installed to be able to slide inside the cylinder; a piston which is fixed at one end of the rod and is placed to be able to slide while being in touch with the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder; a piston nut which is fixed to the rod while supporting one side of the piston to prevent the piston from being separated from the rod; a head cover which is fixed at one side of the cylinder and has a passage for supplying pressure oil from the outside to the piston; and a cushion plunger which is combined to the end of the rod, is connected to the passage of the head cover, and acts as a cushion by being accommodated in an entry groove formed in the longitudinal direction of the rod. The hydraulic cylinder device further includes: a cushion-adjusting orifice which is placed in parallel to the entry groove to connect the passage of the head cover and the hollow part of the cylinder and is placed at a distance from the entry groove; and a slot groove unit which is formed on the surface facing the head cover among the end surfaces of the rod, is connected to the cushion-adjusting orifice while the rod is being in touch with the head cover, and increases the pressure applied on the end of the rod by the pressure oil supplied from the cushion-adjusting orifice.
