The present invention provides a system and a control method for enabling a user to directly share and store media information using a virtual directory in P2P environments comprising: a terminal for synchronizing the changes of log-off with the virtual space of a web and for transmitting the selected file after displaying a file list screen within a local directory connected to the virtual space of the web by executing a subscription and a login procedure by enabling a user to connect to the virtual space of the web using a mobile IP; and a rendezvous unit for controlling a downloaded file and a synchronization function executed with the virtual directory of the web hardware according to the request of a subscriber terminal, for synchronizing media file information stored within the virtual directory of the web hardware with the local directory of each terminal connected to a buddy group of a P2P environment, for managing buddy information according to a P2P protocol, and for controlling the construction of the virtual directory in the web hardware by connecting to the terminal. The present invention has an effect of maximizing the utilization of shared information by providing a real-time media service with the conversion of the media file according to the characteristics of the terminal for the transmitted file and for supporting the transmission of the files between the virtual directories through a P2P file searching method using a JXTA protocol.
