METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ITERATIVE RECONSTRUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a calculation time and calculation resources of a model base iterative reconstruction (MBIR) algorithm for significantly reducing a dose of CT scanning while retaining a diagnostic image quality.SOLUTION: A method is provided for iteratively reconstructing an object image. The method includes the steps of: acquiring measurement data relating to the image; and using a simultaneous type algorithm for reconstructing the image. The step of using the simultaneous type algorithm for reconstructing the image includes the steps of: determining a scaling factor of a voxel dependent type; and applying the voxel dependent type scaling factor to a gradient of a target function for reconstructing the image.
