PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device configured to enhance image quality.SOLUTION: A display device includes: a gain calculation part that determines a first gain for each pixel in a high-luminance region according to the area of the region in a frame image; and a determination part that determines second brightness information for each pixel in the high-luminance region on the basis of first brightness information for each pixel in the high-luminance area and the first gain; and a display part that performs display based on the second brightness information.
