PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that effectively prevents erroneous transmission of image data when pseudo push scan is executed in a communication style in which communication has no access limit to the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 instructs a remote terminal 113 to perform an image obtaining request, and executes image reading processing according to the image obtaining request based on the instruction from the remote terminal 113. When the instruction is made to the remote terminal 113, the image forming apparatus determines whether a password is preset or not. The password is used to determine whether transmission of a read-out image to the remote terminal 113 is permitted or not when the image forming apparatus 100 determines whether a present communication style of the image forming apparatus 100 is a communication having no access limit thereto. When the password is not preset, the image forming apparatus 100 cancels the transmission of the read-out image to the remote terminal 113. |
