PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a metal foil material that can easily improve formability of projections on a metal foil base material surface by a mold roll at low cost.SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing a metal foil material including a plastic processing process of forming convex projections 3 on a surface of a metal foil base material 2 by pressing a mold roll 1 having many fine concave parts 1a formed on a surface against the surface of the metal foil base material 2 while rotating the mold roll 1, the metal foil base material 2 is used which has an arithmetic average roughness Ra of 0.30 μm or larger in a rolling right angle direction and an arithmetic average roughness Ra of 0.35 μm or larger in a rolling parallel direction, and the amount of lubricating oil used in the plastic processing process is 300 mg/mor less. |
