Provided is a movement unit (1) in which, in a case where a plurality of track rails (21) disposed in series constitute a guide track (2) for guiding a movable body (41), it is possible to ride across the joints of the track rails and move smoothly over the guide track. The movement unit is provided with the following: a pair of the guide tracks (2) laid in parallel with each other; a plurality of movement blocks (3) at least two of which are assembled to each guide track and that freely move along the guide tracks; and the movable body (41) fixed to the movement blocks. The guide tracks are provided by disposing in series the track rails (21) on which a guide surface (25) is formed along the longitudinal direction. Meanwhile, the movement block (3) has a contact (31) that, while running on the guide surface, passes joint-unit gaps (L) of the track rails that are disposed in series. When, in relation to the plurality of joint-unit gaps (L) included in the pair of guide tracks (2), the movement block (3) is positioned over any one of the joint-unit gaps, no other movement block is positioned over any other joint-unit gaps. |
