PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope apparatus that enables an imaging element to be arranged easily while facilitating accurate focus adjustment.SOLUTION: A microscope imaging apparatus 1A comprises: a specimen support 2 with a placement surface 2b on which a specimen 3 is placed; an imaging section 6 with an imaging element 4 for imaging part of an imaging area set on the placement surface 2b; and an imaging optical section 8 arranged between the specimen support 2 and the imaging section 6, and having an objective lens 7 configured to image light from part of the imaging area toward the imaging section 6. The specimen support 2 is arranged such that the placement surface 2b is orthogonal to an optical axis L of the objective lens 7. At least either the specimen support 2 or the objective lens 7 is configured to be movable in a direction A1 obliquely intersecting the optical axis L while keeping the placement surface 2b orthogonal to the optical axis L. Accordingly, a focal point can be brought to the specimen 3 highly accurately without carrying out complicated angle adjustment to the imaging element 4.
