PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the effect of noise at the time of touch detection, without being affected by noise due to lighting control of a back light, and to enable touch detection with high accuracy of detection.SOLUTION: A touch detection unit uses a touch panel 17 for the touch detection of a proximity object. The touch detection unit performs touch detection after a scanning period when a screen is scanned in one frame period when video is displayed on a liquid crystal panel 14.
