PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter system electromagnetic induction heating apparatus capable of performing induction heating while suppressing loss of a switching element to a heated object formed of a different quality of material.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic induction heating apparatus comprises an inverter. The inverter comprises: a first upper/lower arm obtained by connecting two switching elements in series; a second upper/lower arm obtained by connecting two switching elements in series; a series circuit of a heating coil induction-heating a heated object and a first resonance capacitor, which is connected between an output terminal of the first upper/lower arm and an electrode of a DC power supply; a series circuit of the heating coil, a second resonance capacitor, and first switch means, which is connected between output terminals of the first and second upper/lower arms; and second switch means short-circuiting between the output terminals of the first and second upper/lower arms. A high-speed switching element compared with the first upper/lower arm is used for the second upper/lower arm. |
