PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a pinching position of a workpiece to be more accurately detected depending on the plate thickness of the workpiece, and to enable accurate bending work to be performed by using the pinching position.SOLUTION: It is determined whether or not the plate thickness of a workpiece is a predetermined value or below. When the plate thickness of the workpiece is the predetermined value or below, a pinching position is obtained from a predetected mold origin position by detecting a punch position at the time of the displacement and separation of the workpiece from a butt workpiece contact surface by a D-shaft encoder, through the utilization of a phenomenon in which the workpiece is displaced and separated from the butt workpiece contact surface, at an initial stage at which the workpiece is bent by bringing a punch into contact with the workpiece with the thin plate thickness. |
