<p>The exhaust gas purification system (1) has a pipeline section (3) with a cross-section for the passage of exhaust gas and an electromagnetic radiation source (11). The radiation (15) emitted from the electromagnetic radiation source irradiates continuously free in the pipeline section. The radiation geometry is adjusted in relation to the cross-section, such that a major amount of radiation passes on the soot particles flowing through the pipeline section. An independent claim is included for a method for removing soot particles from exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine.</p> |
