PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map update system capable of preferentially obtaining road information necessary for a user.SOLUTION: A map update system which updates map data of a navigation device 30 with the map data stored in a map server comprises: a travel history DB 32 which stores a travel history of a vehicle provided with the navigation device; a first destination calculation section which obtains a location, where the number of times or frequency that a user travels thereto exceeds the predetermined number of times or frequency, as a first destination on the basis of travel history data; a first route search section 40 which obtains, among routes used for going to the first destination, the route where the number of times or the frequency that the user travels thereon exceeds the predetermined number of times or frequency as a first route on the basis of the travel history data; a second route search section which obtains a second route to the first destination when a portion of the first route cannot be used; and a map update section which updates the map data in an order of the first route, the second route and other data. |
