PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus that allows a user to easily register position information of an image forming apparatus in the image forming apparatus without the need for a vendor to achieve installation of a GPS in a server and the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus 110 receives and displays a screen for setting position information of an image forming apparatus 140 from the image forming apparatus 140, acquires position information of the information processing apparatus 110 in response to the fact that a user has selected setting of the positional information on the screen, and transmits the acquired position information of the information processing apparatus 110 to the image forming apparatus 140. Accordingly, the position information of the information processing apparatus 110 is set as the position information of the image forming apparatus 140.
