PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an innovative optical film that contributes to improvement in the characteristics of the angle of a field of view of a 3D image display device, to provide a 3D image display device using the same, and also to provide a 3D image display system.SOLUTION: An optical film comprises: a transparent support; an orientation film; and a pattern optical anisotropic layer including a first phase difference area and a second phase difference area different from each other at least in in-plane slow axis direction or in-plane retardation and arranged alternately within the plane. The pattern optical anisotropic layer uses a composition that includes at least one type of chemical compound that reacts by the application of energy. The optical film is formed using a composition having as its main constituent a rod-like liquid crystalline compound that has a polymerizable group on a pattern orientation film formed by a rubbing process and the process of applying energy to part of an area.
