PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress disturbance of display images on a display even when a plurality of kinds of images are input.SOLUTION: An image display device comprises: an image information measuring unit 11 for measuring image information that is information for each of frames of input images; a frame memory 16 for storing the input images; an image information comparing unit 13 for comparing a measurement result of the image information measuring unit 11 with an immediately preceding measurement result; a writing control unit 15 for, if comparison results obtained by the image information comparing unit 13 are different, writing input images alternately in a plurality of memory areas where the input images obtained immediately before the different results are generated are not stored, among memory areas in the frame memory 16; a reading control unit 18 for, if the comparison results obtained by the image information comparing unit 13 are different, reading from the frame memory 16 input images obtained immediately before the different results are generated; and a display 20 for displaying input images read by the reading control unit 18. |
