PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a water treatment facility in the optimum operation condition which corresponds precisely to water quality fluctuation of water to be treated without providing an expensive measuring device.SOLUTION: A method for controlling a water treatment facility of the present invention includes: a correlation determination step for determining whether or not there is a correlation between a conductivity of water to be treated and a silica concentration of water to be treated having no causal relationship with the conductivity from a result of periodical sample analysis of the water to be treated; a first pollutant component concentration estimation step for statistically analyzing a distribution of conductivity measured values in the latest fixed period of the water to be treated on condition that there is a correlation between the conductivity and the silica concentration of the water to be treated, and estimating the silica concentration of the water to be treated based on a result of the statistical analysis and on the correlation between the conductivity and the silica concentration of the water to be treated; and an operation condition determination step for determining an operation condition of a water treatment facility 10 for treating the water to be treated, based on the estimated silica concentration. |
