PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of an AC rotary machine, which can perform abnormality determination of determining abnormality of a power converter while restriction of rotational speed is eliminated or relaxed and can reduce an operation load on a micro computer, and to provide an electrically-driven power steering device including the controller.SOLUTION: A controller of an AC rotary machine includes: a plurality of power converters 15 and 25 for supplying power to multi-phase winding groups U1, V1, W1, U2, V2 and W2 of an AC rotary machine 1; plurality of control means 11 and 21 for outputting a voltage command to the plurality of power converters 15 and 25; and an abnormality determiner 3 to which at least one state quantity on the respective multi-phase winding groups U1, V1, W1, U2, V2 and W2 is inputted and which determines abnormality of the AC rotary machine 1 or the controller of the AC rotary machine 1 on the basis of comparison of the state quantities. The state quantity is set to be a voltage applied to the AC rotary machine 1 or a current supplied to the AC rotary machine 1. |
