PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method for producing a plated member capable of applying a large current and satisfying both low friction coefficient and high heat resistance; and a method for producing a plated terminal for a connector.SOLUTION: A nickel underlying plating layer is formed by contact with the surface of a base material composed of copper or copper alloy. A laminate structure in which a tin plating layer and a silver plating layer are alternately laminated while using the silver plating layer as a lowermost layer and an outermost surface layer is formed by contact with the nickel underlying plating layer, followed by heating. Thus there are formed a silver-tin alloy layer to cover the surface of the base material, and a silver-coated layer that covers the silver-tin alloy layer and is exposed to the outermost surface.
