PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate such concerns that an externally-covering body slidably rotates around an outer peripheral surface of a container body and the externally-covering body falls off from the container body.SOLUTION: A metal container comprises: a bottomed metal container body 1 having an opened top face; and a film-like externally-covering body 2 for covering an outer peripheral surface of the container body 1. The externally-covering body 2 is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the container body 1 by causing a heat-shrinkable synthetic resin film to thermally shrink. A metal fitting 4 for fitting a carrying handle 3 is mounted to the outer peripheral surface of the container body 1. The metal fitting 4 is integrally jointed to the container body 1 by applying a spot welding between the container body 1 and the metal fitting 4 in a fitting position on the externally-covering body 2, and also the joint part 5 between the metal fitting 4 and the container body 1 penetrates through a small hall 21 formed in the externally-covering body by the heat during the welding to engage the externally-covering body 2. |
