PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a package capable of using an electron beam sterilization method and also using a soft package material having a metal layer, and free from a risk of re-contamination.SOLUTION: A long soft packaging material is made to travel intermittently to process it into a cylindrical shape at first. Next, a lateral sealing a3 is applied at a lateral sealing device 2, the package material in a stop state is filled with aseptic nitrogen gas from an inert gas filling tube 5 inserted from an upper side opening part a2, and the package material is irradiated with an electron beam from an emitter 31 of an electron beam irradiation device. Then, the soft package material is filled with content from a filling nozzle 4, moved, and applied with the lateral sealing a3 again to be sealed. As the electron beam irradiation comes from the inside of the cylindrical soft package material, a package material containing a metal layer can be used. Also, the irradiation can be kept at minimum necessary quantity, and damage on the package material can be prevented. Also, as it is filled and sealed quickly, it is free from a risk of re-contamination. |
