An insertion device system is equipped with: a bent section provided to a distal end side of a long and thin insertion section; a pulling member for causing the bent section to be bent by a pulling action; a drive unit for generating by rotational driving a driving force for bending and driving the bent section; an operation input unit provided with a bending operation device for carrying out an input operation for operating by pulling the pulling member; a driving force transmission unit for transmitting the driving force of the drive unit to the pulling member from the drive unit in accordance with the input operation of the bending operation device provided by the operation input unit; a detection unit for detecting an input operation speed of the bending operation device; and a control unit provided with a drive unit control section for carrying out a control by which the rotational speed of the drive unit is elevated to elevate the driving force transmitted by the driving force transmission unit if the input operation speed of the bending operation device acquired by the detection unit is greater than a predetermined input speed. |
