An appliance having a display and a system and method of adjusting a viewing angle of the display based on the position of a door of the appliance is provided. As a door of the appliance is pivotally rotated about an axis, a controller can control a motor to actuate a mounting plate of the display such that the mounting plate is rotated to adjust the viewing angle of the display. The rotation of mounting plate can be determined based on the position of the door of the appliance. A sensor can be implemented to detect the position of the door. The sensor can be disposed on a hinge of the door, in a cabinet of the appliance, or on a door of the appliance. |
