This invention is provided with: a plurality of flat secondary cells in which power-generating elements obtained by stacking electrode plates and separators are sealed by exterior members; and holding parts provided between the flat secondary cells to the side surfaces of the flat secondary cell oriented along the direction perpendicular to the direction in which the electrode plates and the separators are stacked, the holding parts holding the shape of the flat secondary cells. The middles of the holding parts on the principal surfaces opposite the side surfaces have higher stiffness than do the outer peripheries of the holding parts.
