PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comfortable nesting chair that can be installed by reducing spaces at the back and front of the chair as much as possible in an acceptable range.SOLUTION: A rocking chair comprises a seatback 3 that tilts backward around a shaft center 78 of an upper spindle 17 provided at an upper end of each of support frames 19, and a seat 2 that is attached to a movable base 4 so as to be slidable back and forth, the movable base 4 being joined to the support frames 9 so as to be turnable by being flipped up. When the seatback 3 is tilted backward, pushing parts 43 push passive arms 42 to move the seat 2 forward. Rotation fulcrums 78 of the seatback 3 and the pushing parts 43 are positioned higher than a seating face, and the rotation fulcrums 78 are positioned higher than the pushing parts 43. The rotation fulcrums 78 of the seatback 3 are positioned higher than the seating face, so that while a large rocking angle is secured, a retreat amount of a user's head can be reduced. |
