PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of evaluating a small potential unevenness of a photoreceptor caused by deterioration of an electrifying member.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 comprises a rotatable photoreceptor 1, an electrifying member 33 which comes into contact with the surface of the photoreceptor 1 and to which a voltage is applied to inject an electric charge into the surface of the photoreceptor, detection means 8 for detecting the surface potential of the photoreceptor 1, and calculation means 151 for obtaining information related to a charging rate which is the rate of the surface potential of the photoreceptor 1 electrified by the application of the voltage to the voltage applied to the electrifying member 33 when the photoreceptor 1 is electrified by the electrifying member 33, information related to a destaticizing rate which is the rate of the surface potential of the photoreceptor 1 destaticized by the application of the voltage to the voltage applied to the electrifying member 33 when the photoreceptor 1 electrified by the electrifying member 33 is destaticized by the electrifying member 33, and information related to the ratio between the charging rate and the destaticizing rate, based on a detection result from the detection means. |
