摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite structural tool excellent in heat resistance.SOLUTION: A composite structural tool 1A comprises: a base material 20 which is composed of a hard material having TiN or TiCN as a hard phase; and a surface layer material 10 which is integrally formed with the base material 20 and composed of a cemented carbide. If the area ratio of a Ti compound such as TiN or TiCN is defined as a and the area ratio of a Ti composite compound phase containing Ti and one or more metal elements (except for Ti) selected from among the groups 4, 5 and 6 of the periodic table is defined as b when the cross section is viewed, the base material 20 satisfies the expression, 0.5≤(a/b). Since at least a part of the cutting edge of the composite structural tool 1A is composed of the surface layer material 10 composed of a cemented carbide containing high WC having high thermal conductivity, the cutting edge and the vicinity of the cutting edge are excellent in thermal conductivity, and since there is a relatively small amount of the Ti composite compound phase having low thermal conductivity and the base material 20 is excellent in thermal conductivity, the cutting edge can be prevented from being filled with heat.
