<p>The present invention relates to a character service system, and to a method and device for providing a character service in the system. The character service system comprises: a terminal device which collects images for face recognition, generates a character to be associated with a mobile function using one or more character samples generated from the collected images, and executes the generated character in association with the mobile function selected by a user; and a character service device, which receives the collected images from the terminal device, recognizes a face from the received images to generate one or more character samples, and transmits the one or more generated character samples to the terminal device in accordance with the request from the terminal device. According to the present invention, a more friendly face character which resembles the face of the user can be generated through the image that enables face recognition. The thus-generated face character and the body character which is preset by the mobile function are combined to generate a character to be associated with the mobile function. The thus-set character is executed in association with the execution of the mobile function selected by the user, thus enabling the user to use the mechanical and formal mobile function in a more friendly manner.</p> |
