Provided is a method for introducing, by means of a chemoenzymatic process, a fluorine-containing amino acid into a peptide and a protein, the method having an introduction efficiency superior to conventional methods. The method for introducing fluorine into a peptide or a protein includes a step in which an activated peptide or protein is obtained by the addition, to the peptide or protein to which the fluorine is to be introduced, of an activating sequence that includes at least: a basic amino acid residue as an N-terminal amino acid residue; and, as an amino acid residue that is adjacent to the N-terminal amino acid residue, an amino acid residue that includes a hydroxyl group in the side chain, a hydrophilic amino acid residue that includes a positive charge in the side chain, or an amino acid residue that has a -H, -CH3, or -C(CH3)C2H5 side chain. The method also includes a step in which the fluorine-containing amino acid is introduced into the activated peptide or protein by means of a reagent solution that includes the fluorine-containing amino acid, tRNA, aminoacyl tRNA synthetase, and aminoacyl tRNA protein transferase.
|
