The invention relates to inertial systems for energy storage/conversion and can be used for actuating various machines and mechanisms. The generator of energy from a compressed medium comprises a drive shaft, a mechanism for transferring the rotation of the shaft to elements having an unbalanced mass, said elements being installed between two rockers, in pairs along the edges of said rockers. Connecting links, positioned on a spindle between the elements having an unbalanced mass, are connected to movable elements of working chambers, said chambers having variable volumes. The mechanism for transferring the rotation of the shaft is composed of two kinematic chains, the links of which are interconnected in such a way that two elements having unbalanced masses, positioned on the same spindle, are rotated in opposite directions.
