An image display device and a driving method thereof are provided to improve image quality by implementing a compensation voltage supplier and a scan pulse compensator to compensate for the distortion of scan pulses. An image display device includes gate and data lines(G1-Gn,D1-Dm), a gate driver(115), a compensation voltage supplier(200), and a scan pulse compensator(220). The gate and data lines, which are crossed with each other, define pixel areas. The gate driver generates scan pulses and supplies the scan pulses to one side of the gate lines according to gate output signals. The compensation voltage supplier outputs compensation voltages by synchronizing with the gate output signals. The scan pulse compensator supplies the compensation voltages to the other side of the gate lines according to the scan pulses. |
