PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level gauge capable of easily identifying whether a measurement environment is suitable even when the leading end of a probe is above an interface.SOLUTION: A level gauge includes transmission pulse generation means for generating a transmission pulse 4, a probe 20 having an input-output end 21 and an open end 22, the transmission pulse 4 being input to the input/output end 21 and output from the input-output end 21, leading end reflection pulse detection means for detecting a reflection pulse generated at the open end 22 as a leading end reflection pulse on the basis of the propagation time of the reflection pulse, intermediate reflection pulse detection means for detecting a reflection pulse present between the transmission pulse 4 and the leading end reflection pulse as an intermediate reflection pulse, stability calculation means for obtaining measurement stability on the basis of the sizes of the leading end reflection pulse and the intermediate reflection pulse, and output means for outputting a signal or a display based on the measurement stability. |
