PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize an object that is the object to be detected with less time and efforts and in a robust manner with respect to an environmental change.SOLUTION: A recognition processing method includes: an imaging condition changing procedure by which an imaging condition changing section 321 changes imaging condition such that pixel values of a background image being a background fall within a range for reducing reflection of the background image when an image of an object is captured; an imaging device controlling procedure by which an imaging device control section 322 causes an imaging device to capture the image of the object on the imaging condition changed by the imaging condition change part 321; and a recognition processing procedure by which a recognition processing section 323 performs predetermined recognition processing with respect to the object on the basis of an image extracted on the basis of colors of the captured image obtained by the imaging device by capturing the image and an image extracted on the basis of brightness of the captured image.
