PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a pattern identifying apparatus that calculates a feature amount and identifies a predetermined pattern such as a face on the basis of the calculated feature amount to perform processing for reading a large amount of data at a high speed.SOLUTION: By establishing a coprime relationship between an interval of a processing window arranged in an image and the number of memories in which the image is interleaved and stored, an exclusive relationship is always established between memories at read destinations of data at the same position relative to respective reference points in a plurality of processing windows. This makes it possible to simultaneously read data, thereby enabling achievement of speedup. |
