<p>Provided is a spark plug internally provided with a pressure sensor that can be mounted to a combustion chamber without the need for any particular additional work. A spark plug having a cylindrical insulator part and an electroconductive socket which partially houses the insulator part from one-end side and which is screwed and fixed to the outer wall of an internal combustion engine is further provided with a piezoelectric element which has a hollow cylindrical shape and which is sandwiched, in the axial direction, between a flange part provided to the socket, and the end surface of an expanded diameter part of the insulator part with the insulator part fitted into the hollow cylinder.</p> |
