Provided is a case for contact lens sterilization of novel structure with which contact lenses can be readily housed in or removed from a housing recess and a solution of highly concentrated hydrogen peroxide water can be advantageously prevented from collecting in a lid. In a case (10) for contact lens sterilization provided with a) a vessel body (18) having a housing recess (16) for housing hydrogen peroxide water (12) and a contact lens (14) in a state where the optical axis of the contact lens (14) is oriented substantially vertically, and b) a metal catalyst (24) which is assembled so as to open and close freely in the vessel body (18) and which exerts a catalytic action on a degradation reaction of the hydrogen peroxide water (12) by coming into contact with the hydrogen peroxide water (12), an inner surface (54) of a lid (22) facing the housing recess (16) is provided with a droplet downflow section (70) for allowing deposited droplets of the hydrogen peroxide water (12) to flow down into the housing recess (16) by being inclined toward the housing recess (16) at least at a region positioned directly above the metal catalyst (24).
