The present invention relates to a door lock system using visible light communication comprising: a visible light communication receiving unit for receiving a password from a mobile terminal via visible light communication; a control unit for extracting the password from the visible light sent to the visible light communication unit, judging whether the extracted password corresponds to a predetermined password or not, and outputting a control signal for opening the door when the passwords are matched; a memory unit for storing the predetermined password provided by the control unit; and a door opening and closing unit for opening and closing the door and receiving the control signal of the control unit to open the door. According to the present invention, the visible light communication has better safety than inputting password and enhances user convenience by extracting password, and also enables a user to enter without a separate key or access card when the user forgets a password.
