PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger installation method capable of improving installability of a heat exchanger and preventing the heat exchanger from being damaged.SOLUTION: A heat exchanger installation method includes a bored hole formation step of forming a bored hole 2 by boring the ground, an insertion step of inserting a heat exchanger 1 made from resin and having heat medium inside and a cylindrical guide pipe 15 into the bored hole 2 with the heat exchanger 1 placed inside the guide pipe 15, and a filling step of filling a filler 3 into a space in the bored hole 2 after the insertion step.
