PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector that is capable of connecting a plurality of cards in a multi-stage arrangement and is capable of being made smaller and shorter in height.SOLUTION: A card connector comprises a housing 4 including a plurality of card insertion parts 2 and 3 in a multi-stage arrangement, and a plurality of contacts 5,5, ..., 6,6, ... for making contact with signal transmission terminals of cards A and B inserted into each card insertion part 2 and 3, and is capable of connecting a plurality of cards in a parallel arrangement with each other. The housing 4 comprises: a mold case 7 made of insulating synthetic resin and including a lower stage bottom plate part 14 forming a lower stage card insertion part 2 and an upper stage bottom plate part 30 forming an upper stage card insertion part 3 placed above the lower stage bottom plate part 14 with a space and in a parallel arrangement; and a metal lower cover member 8 including a support plate part 51 which is inserted under the upper stage bottom plate part 30 and supports the underside of the upper stage bottom plate part 30. |
