A drill guide (10) for drilling bone comprising a housing (20) having a bore (22) running through the housing (20) is disclosed. In one embodiment, the drill guide (10) may comprise a locking member coupled to the housing (20) that is adapted to engage with a locking portion of a drill bit (50) to lock the drill bit (50) axially within the housing. The locking member may also be adapted to disengage with the drill bit (50) to allow the drill bit (50) to move within the bore (22) of the housing (20) and be inserted into bone. A movable guide (70) may also be provided with the drill guide (10), such movable guide (70) including a bore (72) for receiving a portion of the drill bit (50) and allowing the same to move axially within the housing (20). Methods of using the aforementioned drill guide (10) are also disclosed. |
