SOLID FLOW RATE MEASURING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small solid flow rate measuring device with a simple configuration, capable of measuring a mass flow rate of flowing sand accurately.SOLUTION: The solid flow rate measuring device comprises: a loading platform 16; a load detector (load cells 19A, 19B) supporting a lower part of the loading platform 16; solid speed detection means 30A to 30C for detecting travel speed of a solid travelling on the loading platform 16; and calculation means 31 for calculating mass flow rate on the basis of a product of weight of the loading platform 16 per unit length based on the detected weight and travel speed detected by the solid speed detection means 30A to 30C. The first solid speed detection means 30A uses a moment method to detect a travel speed of flowing sand from an amount of change in moment of force acting on the loading platform 16. The second solid speed detection means 30C uses a cross-correlation method to detect the travel speed by using a cross correlation function of similar waveforms outputted from the upstream side and downstream side load detectors 19A, 19B. The third solid speed detection means 30B uses a flow velocity method to detect the travel speed on the basis of a water flow velocity of a river.
