PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tablet forming mortar which has sufficient smoothness, hardness and durability in forming tablets and which does not corrode or rust, and a manufacturing method of the mortar.SOLUTION: A mortar forms an aggregation of indeterminately formed raw materials into a predetermined shape to form a tablet. The mortar consists of a sintered body obtained by forming and calcinating a pulverulent body of zirconia system ceramics that contains zirconium oxide as a main component. An average particle diameter of the pulverulent body is 0.04-0.09 μm, whereas a particle diameter of the sintered body after calcination is formed to be 0.2 μm or greater and less than 0.3 μm. The pulverulent body contains 4.0-20.0 mass% of yttrium oxide. |
