PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide sensor that is configured to be suitable for forming a sufficiently slender detection part on the surface of a light guide member small in diameter and flexible and that has a sufficiently slender detection part, and a method for forming the same.SOLUTION: A light guide sensor includes: a light source; a core for guiding light emitted from the light source; a clad formed around the core; a light guide member on which at least one detection part is formed; and a light receiving part for receiving light that has been guided by the light guide member and passed through the detection part. The detection part includes: a first opening formed by removing at least a part of the clad leaving a thickness not to transmit light from the core in the outer periphery of the light guide member; and a second opening formed to transmit the light from the core. Such a light guide sensor is configured to be suitable for forming a detection part which is a sufficiently slender opening on the surface of a light guide member small in diameter and flexible, and has a detection part which is a sufficiently slender opening. A method for forming such a light guide member is provided in such a manner. |
