PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nucleic acid probe capable of detecting a target at satisfactory sensitivity.SOLUTION: The method for producing a nucleic acid probe includes: a 3' terminal addition step of, by using a 3'terminal addition enzyme for adding a nucleotide to the 3' terminal of nucleic acid, adding at least one nucleoside triphosphate derivative having a glutamine(Gln)residue or a lysin(Lys)residue to the 3'terminal of a nucleic acid; and an indicator compound binding step of, by using transglutaminase(TGase), binding the glutamine(Gln)residue with an indicator compound having a lysin(Lys)residue and including an indicator part or binding the lysin(Lys) residue with an indicator compound having a glutamine(Gln) residue and having an indicator part.
